Rooted inShenzhen Special Economic Zone, Marxism College (the School of Social Science) of Shenzhen Universityis always brave to

make innovations and hasdistinctive characteristics.Enjoyingthe unique geographical advantagesof Shenzhen, in recent years thecollege has established 8 teaching and research platforms, which are ImmigrationCultureResearch Center, Deng Xiaoping Theory Research Center of SZU, Contemporary Chinese Thought and CultureResearch Center, MoralCultureResearch Institute of SZU, Philosophy and Social Science Research Institute of SZU,ChineseSystem Philosophy Research Centerof SZU,Shenzhen InternationalDevelopment StrategyResearch Center,and College Ideological and PoliticalTheory Scene Simulation Experiment Teaching Centerof SZU.

The collegecurrently has 61 faculty members, including 52 full-time teachers, 8 professors and 15associate professors. Among them 40 teachers have doctoral degrees. Ourfaculty boasts a good reputationnationwide, with 2 members of Ideological and Political Theory Course SteeringCommittee of Guangdong Province, 2 prospectsfostered by the“Thousand-Hundred-TenTalentsProject”ofGuangdongprovince, 1“Famous College Teacher”of Guangdong,1teaching model of GuangdongCollege Ideological and Political Theory Course,and2“Academic Leaders”ofShenzhen University.

Thecollege boasts notable researchachievements as well. Since 2015, the college has undertaken more than 100 research projects including 1major program ofNational Social Science Fund projects, 15generalprograms of NSSF projects and 30 provincial-level projects. 100 CSSCI journal articles have been published with 3 inSocial Sciences in Chinaand 4 inMarxist Studies.More than 10 academic works have been published by authoritative publishing houses and the college has won 5 prizes of Philosophy and Social Sciences Achievement AwardsofGuangdongProvince.
