To further study and apply the thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era led by Xi Jinping, promote the deepening of thematic education, implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions on youth work, and carry out the education of graduating Party members, recently, on the occasion of the graduation of the 2023 graduate students, the Party School of The Marxism College of Shenzhen University held a profound, warm and unforgettable graduation ceremony for the graduating Party members. Attendees included: Wang Hong, Secretary of Party Committee of The Marxism College; Wang Ping, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of The Marxism College; Guo Jian, Member of Party Committee of The Marxism College; Luo Jing, Teacher of Youth Ideological and Political Course, an outstanding graduate representative of The Marxism College; Bian Kebing, Counselor of The Marxism College; Xie Dongdong, Member of Party Building Organization of The Marxism College; and graduating Party members.
At the beginning of the event, Wang Hong, Secretary of Party Committee of The Marxism College, focused on red education with the theme of “continuing red blood, living up to the mission of youth”, and gave a vivid and wonderful thematic Party lesson for graduating Party members. Secretary Wang Hong said: there is the power to move forward so long as the red spirit exits and the red blood is flowing. As young Marxists, the students of The Marxism College should nourish their Party spirit with red blood, gather the power to move forward, and also grasp the requirements of the times to inherit the red gene, comprehend the essence therein, strive to become the learners, disseminators and practitioners of the red spirit, and contribute youth strength for continuing red blood.
Set good examples. Example is a vivid teaching material for Party member education and training. To commend the graduating Party members who play a pioneering and exemplary role in study, work and life, the Party School of The Marxism College issued certificates to 10 graduating Party members, encouraging them to remain true to the original aspiration, increase knowledge, develop character, practice skills, and write a new chapter of youth in the struggle!
Stay true to the mission, and forge ahead bravely. Subsequently, Xie Dongdong, a member of the Party Building Organization of the college, organized graduating Party members to study General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discussion on education, science and technology, and talents, encouraging graduates to combine their personal ideals with the construction and development of the Greater Bay Area, and educating students to be down-to-earth, carry forward the spirit of innovation, strive for a new era, and actively contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of the Bay Area. Then, guidance training was carried out on the transfer of organizational relations for graduating Party members, holding the last pass of graduating Party members stepping out of the school and guiding them to take the “first step” into society.
Bear in mind the original intention, and head for a splendid future together. Afterwards, the Graduate Party Branch of The Marxism College had an unforgettable collective political birthday party for graduating Party members, where all the graduating Party members reviewing their vows to join the Party. To further convey the care of the Party and enhance the sense of belonging of Party members, the branch committee of the graduate Party branch collected the wonderful moments of the three-year organizational life of the 2020 graduates, and recorded all memory fragments and graduation blessings into a graduation video titled “Great Future”, so as to wish the graduating Party members a bright and promising future. The memory of the past three years remains deeply vivid. After watching the video, many graduating Party members had red eyes. Excellent Party member Zeng Jialin said with emotion, “The scenes in the video are still vivid in my eyes. During the three years of graduate study, someone lit a lamp for me to protect and teach me to stabilize my life. The firm faith in my heart is the lamp that guides me forward and illuminates my long road of study. Bidding farewell to this journey and embarking on a new journey, I will continue to carry the lamp forward, live up to the education of the organization, and strive to become a pillar of society, win honor for the university and add luster to the college.”
After watching the video, Secretary Wang Hong sent graduation messages and political birthday wishes to the graduating Party members. Wang Hong said: The graduating Party members and The Marxism College shared the wind and rain, and realized the truth together, which is a strong ink they wrote in the youth album. The exam questions of the times have been listed, and our answers are being written. It is hoped that the graduates can continue to use the light of truth in Marxism to guide the way forward, never forget the original intention, and live up to their youth; keep in mind the vow of “Please rest assured, we are ready to build a powerful China”, seize the most beautiful years of their life, and become young talents in the new era with ideals, pursuits and styles!
Subsequently, Secretary Wang Hong presented a political birthday gift for the graduating Party members: a “stay true to the mission” political birthday card and a youth album that records the three-year course of the graduating Party members joining the Party. The red boat on the political birthday card will continue to inspire the graduating Party members to not forget the way to come, hold on to the original intention, always keep in mind the identity of Party members, pass through the waves of the times, and become a mighty ship brave to assume the responsibilities of the times.
Come from the youth, and go to the youth; make friends with them, enthusiastically support their work and be their guide. Finally, The Marxism College offered fruits, drinks and political birthday cakes for each graduating Party member, and held a warm birthday party, hoping that the graduating Party members could talk about things on their mind in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, and gain new harvest therefrom. The graduating Party members had a discussion on career choices and identity changes. Secretary Wang Hong, Deputy Secretary Wang Ping and teachers present gave practical answers and suggestions, providing real help for the graduating Party members, sending the warmth and care of the Party and the university to the hearts of the graduating Party members, and protecting the last mile of their journey at the college.
General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out in the report of the Party’s 20th National Congress that, “The whole Party should take youth work as a strategic task, arm young people with the Party’s scientific theories, inspire them with the Party’s original mission, and make friends with them, enthusiastically support their work and be their guide.” The Party Committee of The Marxism College integrates political education and humanistic care, and combines the political birthday party with the education of graduating Party members, so that the student Party members can see the expectations, remember the teachings, keep the original heart, and truly feel the Party’s love and care around them, further enhancing the centripetal force and cohesion of the Party branch. Chen Jing, a graduating Party member, said, “Through this activity, I recognize that the graduate Party branch is more than a base for the education and training of student Party members, but also a harbor for them to roost when they break through the thorns. On the long journey, I will always keep in mind the teachings of the Party and the mission of a young Marxist, constantly pursue the truth in the youth track, and let my youth years glow with brilliance in the dedication to the country and the people.”
